Tweet Tales Tuesday Week 101
December 24, 2013
15 Minute Tweet TalesI'm sure people are too busy with holiday preparations to read blog posts today, but it's tradition to put my 15 Minute Tweet Tales up on Tuesday, so here they are. I went with a Christmas theme all week, so I hope they help put you in the holiday spirit … well, at least the cheery tales. Some of the tales are kind of bleak, but I promise I'm full of holiday cheer!

12/18 – Timmy is labile, always seconds from a temper tantrum, which is why his mom lives for December: finally peace via an Elf on the Shelf.

12/19 – Her husband smacks her when he sees the patulous space in the new Christmas tree. She fills it with red balls. His two bloody red balls.

12/20 – He gets odd looks when he sings "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" in April, but it's the only song that works as a berceuse for his son.

12/21 – The whisper of the claudent curtains wakes Suzy and Mom almost cries. Santa needs the time to build a bike, wrap toys and stuff stockings.

12/22 – Everyone admires the hereism of Santa and Mrs. Claus, but it's easy to stay true when reindeer and elves are your only alternative.

12/23 – Her friends laugh at the preciosity of her holiday newsletters, but her family's so lacking she has to do something to spruce them up.

12/24 – The apical angel gives all clear signal from atop the tree. Tired from hanging around, ornaments take a cookie break. Too slow, Santa.

I hope everyone's holiday season is full of love and laughter!

And my dog Freya wishes everyone a Merry Christmas!

Play along and write tweet tales for the above words. If you’re willing to share, post them on twitter with the hashtag #15tt or add them below in the comments because I’d love to read them. Any thoughts about this week's tweet tales or #15tt words?
