For the Blogging from A to Z Challenge, I’m having Fun with Fonts. Each day I’ll feature a few I like based on either the look of the font or its name. I’ll also pick a font to inspire one of my tweet tales. 

I know most of these fonts are more fun than practical, but I can’t think of any real world reason to use my first G font pick … except for the fact that it’s adorable. Grazing On Grass has letters that look like they are either hedge sculptures or grass mowed into letters. But that’s not enough to make it stand out – the font creator then adds cute animals nibbling on the vegetation. Tiny, charming cows and sheep surround the letters enjoying a nice meal. Completely impractical, yet 100% cute. (To make it fit, the letters ended up pretty small, so you might want to click the link to see it big enough to make out the animals.)

 

I picked the Gotcha font because I really like the 3-D look of it.

 

And then I picked Ginger Snaps because I like all the swirls and curlicues. Plus I love gingersnap cookies and think Ginger Snaps is an awesome werewolf movie.

 

For Galaxy 1, I really like the way the look and the name of the font work together. The letters not only have a futuristic shape to them, but the random pattern of white dots really does make it look like gazing up into the stars.  

 

For my tweet tale inspiration, I’m picking Groovy Ghosties, mostly because it makes me giggle. It’s probably supposed to be a creepy font, but the expressions on their silly, little faces just makes me laugh.

Most people living in haunted houses deal with moans & the smell of dirt, but our ghost died in the 70s, so we get disco beats & patchouli.
