Tweet Tales Tuesday Week 63

15 Minute Tweet TalesWhen I saw the #15tt word for today, my first impulse was to make it autobiographical. One of the definitions for catachresis is the incorrect use of a word or phrase, and I'm always worried I'm using the #15tt words incorrectly in my tweet tales. Sure a dictionary definition can tell us what the word means, but since they are words I rarely see or hear, I have no context of how to use them correctly. So while the tale might make sense from a meaning perspective, I might be completely embarrassing myself from a usage perspective. But the point of the challenge is to have fun and stimulate my creativity, so I do my best and hope I don't reveal myself to be a fool.

With that in mind, here are my 15 Minute Tweet Tales for the week:
3/20 - She keeps a notebook by her bed to capture oneiric ideas for bestsellers. Each morning she's baffled by the foreign looking scribbles.
3/21 - The Daphnean teen presses against the wall desperately hoping nobody asks her to dance, but she's still disappointed when no one does.
3/22 - Chef Ramsay shouts, "It's *bleep*ing insulse!" At the contestants' blank look: "It's worse than dog's dinner; at least that has taste!"
3/23 - A pruritic sensation on her back distracted her during church. Poison ivy from romp in the woods with Father Tim or guilty conscience?
3/24 - Star marvels as her 15yo explains his noetic theories to a room of math geeks - how did a stripper and a pizza guy make such a smart kid?
3/25 - Her web of lies has become so complex even her telarian skills can't keep it from tangling. She wonders who'll try to kill her first.
3/26 - He memorized a word-of-the-day calendar to appear smarter than everyone else, but his catachresis revealed the underlying fool.
Play along and write tweet tales for the above words. If you’re willing to share, post them on twitter with the hashtag #15tt or add them below in the comments because I’d love to read them. Any thoughts about this week's tweet tales or #15tt words?

Hmm, I thought "catachresis" was some kind of disease. :D I'm glad you do these because it helps me learn!

I loved these! 3/25 sounds like it could be the start of a novel. :-)

Sandy - It does sound like a disease!

Lexa - Hmmm... I should tuck that line away in my story idea folder.  :-)

I used to also keep a notebook by my bed for that reason.

I gave up because the next morning I could never figure out what I wrote.  :-)
