Radio Active Granny

Molly with the letter RFor the Blogging from A to Z Challenge, I’m having Fun with Fonts. Each day I’ll feature a few I like based on either the look of the font or its name. I’ll also pick a font to inspire one of my tweet tales

The Renania Double Line reminds me of when I was young and clutched pens together to write because it looked cool. I often used more than two pens, although sticking with two was easier to read. And of course it was always pens with various brightly colored inks so it looked like I was writing via rainbow.

I have no idea what’s going on with Riot Act. I mean, I think I see teeth and eyeballs and intestines, wha? But it was so weird and icky I had to include it.

I am not a rave type of person in any way – in fact, loud music makes me want to curl into a catatonic ball – but I like the fun feel of Rave Queen

Royal Initialen is another of those that’s a bit hard to read, but I liked how it looks like it’s been formed from metal.

For whatever random reason, the R section was loaded with fonts with fun names. There were so many that instantly sparked crazy images that could lead to interesting stories, like Redneck Zombie, Rat Infested Mailbox, Radical Llamas, and Rabbit On The Moon. But since I only include five each day (and besides most of their actual font designs were pretty boring), I picked the name that made me laugh the most as inspiration for today’s tweet tale: Radio Active Granny.

What do you think of these fonts? Do they inspire any stories in your mind? How Resplendent is Molly with her letter R?

An army of radioactive grannies! I love it! The first one made my eyes feel crossed, and I loved the Riot Act the best. It looks like hillbillies waiting on chitlins and possum. Yum. :P

Those fonts make me want to try them on all my AZ stories :)

I like the first and last fonts best.

Radioactive Granny is bold and spunky. The royal one is hard to read.

What a cool theme for your A to Z and your tweet tales. Love the one you did for Radioactive Granny!

PS: no worries about the length of time it took to get to my blog during A to Z...there are sooooo many people participating! It's hard to keep up. It's my first time to yours too. So please forgive. :)

I used to use two pens/markers at once too, which must be why Renania Double Line is my favorite out of this bunch.

Ooh, the royal one totally had me thinking jewels and monarchs before I even read the title. Very pretty.
