Tweet Tales Tuesday Week 219
April 6, 2016
15 Minute Tweet TalesI’m late posting because it’s been a super busy day. It’s also been a good news/bad news type of day. First, the bad news: I entered the James Patterson Co-writing Competition a few weeks ago, and the list of ten semifinalists was announced today. Sadly, my name was nowhere to be found. I knew it was a long shot, but I'm still a bit bummed. But my excerpt was from an old NaNo novel, and getting it ready for the competition got me SUPER excited about the story again. I'm now revising it for this month's Camp NaNo and am really happy with what's happening. Silver linings FTW!

Now for the good news: I had an interview today to be a teaching artist for a kids program this summer, and I got hired! The program director was a little leery of my lack of experience with large groups of kids, but she said she liked my enthusiasm and was willing to take a chance on me. Yay! So twice a week I’ll teach a group of elementary school kids about creative writing. I’m excited (and nervous!) about it. Bonus? I’ll actually get paid! Whoo hoo!

And now for this week’s 15 Minute Tweet Tales word:

allusion – the running of one ship upon another ship that is stationary; action of dashing against or striking upon.

4/5 – The ferry prepares for an allision with the floating cruise ship, hoping to contain the outbreak. All for naught. These zombies swim.

Play along and write a tweet tale for the above word. If you’re willing to share, post it on twitter with the hashtag #15tt or add it below in the comments because I’d love to read your tales. Any thoughts about this week's tweet tale or #15tt word?
